The Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute is a collaborative, regionally based Caribbean comprehensive cancer program centralized in an identifiable, easily accessible facility in which physicians, hospital and supportive care professionals are based. The organizational structure and governance of the Cancer Institute operate under the direction of dedicated medical and administrative leadership, and the Cancer Institute is financially autonomous as a freestanding entity, while serving as a component of the overall oncology service line. The Cancer Institute's success is built on innovative partnerships with physicians, other health care professionals and hospitals throughout the Caribbean and mainland academic medical centers, thus it serves as a regional referral center for advanced cancer research, agents and technologies. Our services encompass a coordinated continuum of care that is continually evaluated to identify clinical and financial "best practices."
