Donna Phillip – Appearance Manager
Donna Phillip, our Positive Appearance Boutique Manager, was born and raised on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. She is a graduate of the 1978 class of Charlotte Amalie High School and continued her education in Business Administration at the Los Angeles City College and at the University of the Virgin Islands, while working as a Tax Coordinating Secretary at the Virgin Islands Bureau of Internal Revenue in 1981. Her professional and organizational skills offered her an opportunity to work as the Administrative Assistant to the Executive Assistant to the late Governor Alexander Farrelly from 1984-1991. This was the highlight of her career because of the experience gained working with Dr. Walter J. Leonard, former President of Fist University, and John P. deJongh, Jr. (Present Governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands). It was an experience of a lifetime!

In 1991, she was assigned to work as Special Assistant to the Commissioner of Labor. It is while working at the Department of Labor, the former Attorney General Rosalie Ballentine offered her an opportunity to work as her Confidential Executive Secretary. In 1995 she was assigned to work at the Department of Planning and Natural Resources as Office Manager, first as the assistant to the Zoning Administrator for 5 years and then promoted to the Office Manager at the Division of Building Permits. She has earned several employee awards which included the Employee of the Year for the Division. Her life took a tremendous turn in March of 1999 when she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She is a nine year cancer survivor and has been looking for the perfect opportunity to serve others who were challenged with this dreadful disease. She joined the staff at Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute in 2006 as the Appearance Center Manager. She attained her professional fitting certification from Amoena USA Corporation, Kennesaw Georgia. She is presently working on her board certification from the American Board of Orthotics and Prosthetics and is proud to join the team at CKCI in administering professional and friendly care in a warm environment.
