Bernard Georges
Bernard F. Georges, is our Business Manager and was born on the island of Dominica and migrated to St Thomas, VI at an early age. Bernard graduated from Ivanna Eudora Kean High in 1978 as a National Honors Society Member. In January of 1979 he enlisted in the US Army as a Dental Assistant where he served for four years and received an Honorable Discharge. While in the army he received the Air Assault Badge, two Army Achievement Medals, Humanitarian Service Medal, Non-Commission Officer Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the Army Commendation Medal. During his tenure in the army, he attended college part time and upon discharge in 1983 he attended college full time at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing in 1986. Bernard Georges joined the staff of the then St Thomas Hospital in June of 1989 as a Cashier Supervisor until august of 1991 and was promoted to Assistant Business Office Manager. He credits all the knowledge that he has acquired about hospital billing to his former co-workers especially Ms Georgina Howell, hospital business planning operations to a former CFO Ms. Rosalie Javios and Mr. Charles Hobson. While working at the hospital he attended University of the Virgin Islands and obtained a Master of Business Administration in 1995. In March of 2006 he joined the staff of Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute as the Billing/Accounts Manager who manages the day to day billing activities at the Cancer Center.
