Peggy Smith – Patient Navigator
Peggy Smith is the patient navigator at the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute. She is a native of St. Thomas, graduating from Ivanna Eudora Kean high school in 1983. After several years in the tourism industry, she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Administration with a minor in Business in 1993 from the Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia. She then returned to work at the Caneel Bay Resort on St. John and the United States Immigration and Naturalization Services. She subsequently accepted a position as the Laboratory Office manager at the Schneider Regional Medical Center before moving into her current position. As the patient navigator Ms. Smith assist our patients with, transportation, payment issues, lodging and other problems involving their care.
