Foundation and Funds

While Ambassador Henry Kimelman and Mrs. Charlotte Kimleman provided the initial contribution to create this legacy of cancer care in the Caribbean, Mr. Miller and the Hospital Board urge the community that there remains much work to be done. Although significant funds have been attained for the hard assets, operational, medical and supporting staff resources will be the key benefactors to making the project successful. As always, in the history of the medical center, the medical staff and its supporting resources have remained the essential elements to achievement.

This project continues to provide contribution opportunities in several forms, including naming opportunities for key services within the center and daily fundraising receipts as well as upcoming events such as the annual Caribbean Gala for Cure, Telethon, Fashion Show, Golf Tournaments, etc. As the Cancer Institute will represent a historical cornerstone of the community, the Board and administration of the Hospital urge each member of the community to share their dream of world-class cancer care by making contributions throughout the upcoming year.

With support from community organizations, businesses and individuals throughout the Caribbean, the islands generously raise funds to benefit the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute through a variety of events and activities. These events support patient education, screening, detection, prevention and clinical programs as well as research programs throughout the Caribbean.
